My name is Daria, and this year I decided to make my long-held dream come true: travel to South Korea! 🥳
I wanted to combine pleasure with learning, so I started looking for language courses. Since I couldn't stay longer than three months, I chose Sungkyunkwan University, which offers a two-month language program instead of the standard 2.5 months.
This was perfect for me, as I didn't need a visa and could simply travel on a K-ETA.
I only learned about this opportunity thanks to Inter-K Education, and I'm incredibly grateful! My consultant, Ksenia, helped me gather and check my application documents, so I felt confident about getting accepted.
I really enjoyed the program itself. The teachers explained everything clearly and systematically. Unfortunately, there wasn't enough opportunity for speaking practice.
Apparently, this is because the fifth level focuses on vocabulary and grammar, not conversation.
Despite the fast pace, I successfully completed the course and received a certificate for the fifth level.
However, I wouldn't recommend this program to those who want to have lots of time to explore Korea, as the classes will consume almost all your time.
We studied from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, and then spent a couple of hours in the evening on our own since the amount of material covered each day was overwhelming.
Nevertheless, I'm incredibly happy I fulfilled my dream. I can't help but mention Sungkyunkwan University's campus, part of which looks like a scene from a historical movie! 😍 And the affordable prices in the cafeterias (4,500 to 5,000 KRW) were a huge bonus. 😁
Next spring, I plan to return to Korea for another course, this time for six months. Again, a huge thanks to Inter-K Education for helping me achieve my dream! ☺️
