I'm from Kazakhstan and I'm a language student at Kyunghee University (Kyunghee, Seoul campus).
It was easy to enroll here with the help of Inter-K Education Group.
A special thanks to them π«Άπ»π€.
Walking into this university, you feel like you are at Hogwarts. The architecture is quite interesting as it is full of old buildings.
The campus is huge. So, for sports lovers, or rather mountaineers, you will love this place, because you have to constantly run up and down the slopes.
There are 2 dining halls on the campus.
If we go to the most important thing, the lessons are from 9:00 to 12:50. 1 lesson lasts 50 minutes. The breaks are 10 minutes.
Intermediate and advanced levels study in the morning, and elementary levels study in the afternoon. Teachers say this is because students who have just arrived are not yet used to the time difference.
What about the exams? There are midterm and final exams. The scores for the 4 parts (speaking, listening, reading, writing) are summed up and if the total percentage is above 75%, you go to the next level. If lower, you stay at the same level. You can retake the exam (but it has its own conditions).
There are English-speaking and Chinese coordinators. They help with documents and consult on any questions (help with medical insurance).
Korean courses have 98% of Chinese/Japanese students. So Russian speakers with knowledge of Chinese - welcome here!
Here you can not only learn Korean, but also practice your Chinese :D
Teaching is at the highest level.
Teachers explain everything in an understandable way, there are no problems. They are also very diverse. They know a lot about different countries, most of them have already been to CIS countries or their relatives live there).
There are also additional lessons (compulsory) to choose from. Media lesson, preparation for TOPIK, speaking and so on. On Wednesdays there are online lessons.
There are 2-3 teachers at each level.
Overall the teachers are awesome, always supportive and the coordinators are in touch with you 24/7.
