Hello, my name is Diana, I am from Kazakhstan and I have been studying for 9 months on language courses at Kyungbok university at Namyangju campus.
I want to share with you my impressions and information about opening ID, Bank card, etc.
My impressions of the university are that the campus is very big, atmospheric and beautiful. It takes about 40 minutes to get to Seoul by subway, for example, to Mendon.
A few days before the start of the study there is a test, according to the results of which you are allocated to a certain level (those who have not studied the language before are automatically enrolled in the 1st level group). Courses are held on the 2nd floor of the residence, it is very convenient, especially in winter ... The residence itself is cozy! There are all amenities and conditions. But there is one minus - it is curfew from 12 o'clock at night😌
Our university helps to get private insurance for 6 months and ID card!
For insurance, you only need money, the amount depends on your age, the older you are, the more you pay, for example, I was 22 years old and paid 88000 KRW.
And for ID card you need a photo and 50000 KRW.
How to open a bank account? In my case it is Woori bank.
You will need:
All we have to do is wait for 2-3 weeks.
I would like to say thank you to Alexandra, Inter-K Education team @all.about.studyinkorea for their help throughout the whole period - from collecting documents to settling in the dormitory and for their support!
