Academic Programmes | Tuition and Fees
Kyunghee University programmes are designed for all levels of education and cover more than 20 fields of study. Thousands of bachelor's, master's and doctoral students graduate each year.
Tuition fees include an admission fee of 180,000 KRW (250,000 KRW for Music, Postmodern) and a semester fee that varies depending on the major. The price per semester ranges from 4,303,400 KRW to 5,800,400 KRW (for 2024).
For master's and postgraduate programmes, tuition fees will range from 4,959,000 KRW to 7,938,000 KRW; admission fee is 954,000 KRW. Additional fees may apply: 37,000 KRW for Seoul campus, 15,000 KRW for the International campus

The Korean Language Centre of Kyunghee University provides a comprehensive study of not only Korean language but also Korean culture. The members of the center do their best to help international students adapt to life in South Korea as quickly and successfully as possible.

Entrance Scholarship for first-year students:
1) Scholarship A. Awarded to students with the highest grades (GPA must be over 90). The scholarship fully reimburses the first semester fee. The entrance fee is paid by the student.
2) Scholarship B. For students who have obtained the TOPIK Level 6 Certificate by the application deadline. The scholarship fully reimburses the cost of the first semester. Entrance fee is not included.
3) Scholarship C. For students who have received the TOPIK 5 Level Certificate by the application deadline. The University reimburses half of the first semester fee, excluding the admission fee.
4) Scholarship D. Issued on the recommendation of the Dean of the Institute of International Education. Maximum number of recipients. The scholarship fully reimburses the first semester fee. For Seoul Campus destinations only.
5) Scholarship E. Awarded to the top 50 % of applicants who have performed well during the interview and have studied more than 4 semesters at Kyunghee Institute of International Education. The scholarship fully reimburses the cost of the first semester. Only for International Campus destinations.
6) F Scholarship. Awarded to the top 50% of the applicants of the Department of Foreign Languages who have excellent interview results. The scholarship fully reimburses the cost of the first semester, excluding the admission fee.
7) G Scholarship. Awarded to the top 50% of students admitted to the Department of Engineering or the Department of Electronics and Computer Science and who have performed well during the interview. The payment period is 4 years if the scholarship recipient earns a GPA of not lower than 3.5.

Academic Incentive Scholarship. Issued on the basis of academic performance in the previous semester. It is necessary to have a GPA of not lower than 3.0. Payments depend on the place in the ranking.
TOPIK Incentive Scholarship. Issued to students who have obtained a TOPIK Level 5 or 6 certificate during their studies. It is paid as a one-time allowance of 300,000 KRW (as of 2024). The maximum number of payments is 3. To receive the scholarship, it is necessary to have a GPA of not lower than 2.5 and to have completed at least 12 credits per semester.
Scholarship for students currently residing in Korea in refugee status or equivalent status granted by the Korean Government, or who are nationals of countries receiving ODA (Official Development Assistance) from the DAC (Development Assistance Committee) (least developed countries, low-income countries, lower-middle-income countries and territories).
Granted: full tuition fees for the first semester.
If the requirements for continuation of the scholarship are met, tuition fees will be paid at 100% for up to 4 years after enrollment.

Kyunghee Graduate Scholarship. Students who have both parents who are graduates of our undergraduate programme. Provided: half of the tuition fee for the first semester. Not a requirement for tuition fee reduction or waiver for the following semesters.
The programme consists of 6 levels, each level takes 10 weeks to complete. All 6 levels can be completed in a year and a half.
The academic year is divided into 4 semesters: spring (March-May), summer (June-August), autumn (September-November) and winter (December-February). Classes are held five days a week for 4 hours from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm
The tuition fee is 1,500,000 KRW per semester (as of 2024). An additional registration fee of 60,000 KRW is charged.
A scholarship is available for students who have completed more than 1 semester.
The Dean's Scholarship
Requirements:
The student has achieved first place in the previous semester's results.
The student has shown excellent academic performance and has glorified the institute.
Other students deemed by the Dean to be in need of a scholarship.
The amount of the scholarship: full payment or payment of half of the semester fee

The student performs well academically and maintains discipline.
The student was ranked first in the Korean Language Department in the previous term.

Scholarship for Behaviour Excellence (Scholarship for Good Character)

The student maintains discipline and is an example to others.
The student is recommended for good behavior in the dormitory.
The student has 100% attendance for the previous term.
Scholarship amount: 50,000 KRW
Scholarship for Volunteer Activities
Requirements:
The student has promoted interaction between teachers, administration and students.
The student is recognised for participating in promotions and other activities.
Scholarship amount: 50,000 to 500,000 KRW
TOPIK Performance Scholarship
TOPIK Level 5 - 100,000 KRW.
TOPIK Level 6 - 200,000 KRW.
Additional information for the scholarship:
