The history of Inha University began in 1952, at the height of the Korean War. The country needed a university to train qualified specialists in the field of Industry and Production and to overcome the technical lagging behind other countries. The Korean dragon was chosen as the university's symbol, embodying the tremendous leap in South Korea's development.
| Description Inha University was founded not only by the state, but also by the local community and Korean emigrants. The university's motto, "Truth", reflects its research spirit and its endeavour to contribute to the prosperity of the country and the world in general. Following these principles, Inha University has become one of the top 100 universities in Asia, according to the QS International University Rankings 2024. Inha University is located in Incheon, the third largest city in South Korea. This city is known as a major logistics center. An international airport and a seaport are located in this area. Inha University is a multidisciplinary university. It offers Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral degrees.
The registration fee is 105,000 KRW. Tuition fees range from 3,929,000 KRW to 5,046,000 KRW for Bachelor's degree, from 5,470,000 KRW to 8,958,000 KRW for Master's and Doctoral degrees and the one-time admission fee is 1,041,000 KRW.

Admission Requirements
International students must submit
- a TOPIK Level 3 or higher certificate or
- a Level 4 certificate from a language course at a university in Korea or
- a Sejong 4A certificate from Sejong Language Centre.
Applicants to the Department of Global Convergent Studies must submit an IELTS certificate of at least 5.5 and a TOEFL IBT certificate of at least 71.
For undergraduate courses except for the Department mentioned above, submission of English language proficiency certificates is optional. It is optional for Master's and PhD programmes.

Korean Language Centre
Inha University has its own Korean Language Centre, which runs programmes designed specifically for foreigners. Enrolment takes place 4 times a year for the spring, summer, autumn and winter semesters of 10 weeks each. Classes last 4 hours a day and run from Monday to Friday.

Starting from the second semester, students can receive an academic scholarship, which depends on the GPA of the previous semester. Thus, if the GPA out of 4.5 possible grades is:
1) not lower than 3.2, then 1/4 of the cost of the next semester is reimbursed
2) not lower than 3.75, then 1/2 of the cost of the next semester is reimbursed
3) not lower than 4.0, then 2/3 of the cost of the next semester is reimbursed
4) not lower than 4.2, then fully reimbursed for the following semester's cost
Global Convergent Studies students with a GPA of:
1) at least 3.5 - is reimbursed 1/4 of the cost of the following semester;
2) at least 4.0 - is reimbursed 1/3 of the cost of the following semester;
3) not lower than 4.3 - is reimbursed 2/3 of the cost of the following semester;
4) at least 4.5 - the cost of the following semester is fully reimbursed.

4) at least 4.5 - the cost of the following semester is fully reimbursed.
The Jeongseok International Scholarship is for up to 8 semesters if the student's GPA is at least 3.75.
Type A. A TOPIK certificate of not lower than Level 5 and TOEFL IBT certificates not lower than 71 (TOEIC not lower than 700, IELTS not lower than 5.5) are required. 100% of the admission fee and semester fee is reimbursed.
A similar discount is available if the student has TOPIK 3 Level 3 certificate or higher (Sejong Language Centre 4A or another language center in Korea) and TOEFL IBT of 92 or higher (TOEIC of 820 or higher, IELTS of 7.0 or higher).
Type B. TOPIK Level 6 certificate (TOPIK Level 6 certificate from a language center in Korea) or TOEFL IBT at least 78 (TOEIC at least 740, IELTS at least 7) is required. 50% of the admission fee and semester fee is reimbursed.
Type C. TOPIK Level 4 certificate or higher (Korean language center certificate of completion of Level 5) or TOEFL IBT 78 or higher (TOEIC 740 or higher, IELTS 6 or higher) is required. 40% of the admission fee and semester fee is reimbursed.
Type D. A TOPIK Level 3 certificate or a TOEFL IBT score of 71 or higher (TOEIC at least 700, IELTS at least 5.5) is required. 30% of the admission fee and semester fee is reimbursed.

Global Vision Scholarship is awarded for up to 8 semesters. Must have a GPA of at least 3.75 and a recommendation from a supervisor. Tuition and admission fees are fully reimbursed. Master's students must be graduates of Inha University with a GPA of not lower than 3.5. No more than 50 recipients will be selected.
The tuition fee includes a registration fee of 100,000 KRW and one semester fee of 1,400,000 KRW.
Studio rooms equipped with a private bathroom and kitchen facilities are provided.
- Rent: 2,780,000 KRW/semester
The total rent includes a deposit of 500,000 KRW, which is fully refundable if there are no problems with the rented premises.
- Utilities: The total rent does not include the cost of utilities such as Internet, electricity, gas and water.
- Cleaning Fee: A cleaning fee is required before moving out of the room. Additionally, tenants are required to pay for utilities used before the end of their tenancy.
- Length of Residence Requirements: For accommodation recommended by Inha University, tenants must stay for at least 6 months to receive a refund of the deposit. Failure to comply with this requirement will not result in a refund of the deposit.
Health Insurance, which is about 200,000 KRW, must also be paid.
