Konkuk University

Konkuk University dates back to 1946, when the Joseon School of Politics was founded and later, in 1959, it was given the status of a university and a new name, Konkuk, which translates as "nation building". The founders of the university gave it this name in hoping that its graduates would become honorable citizens of their country and make their own contribution to the preservation of South Korea's independence.
