Pukyong National University
Pukyong National University is located in Pusan (Busan), South Korea's second largest city and a major cultural, tourist and business center. Pukyong University was established in 1996 through the merger of Pusan National University of Fisheries and Pusan National University of Technology. Pukyong was the first Korean university which successfully integrated the curriculum of its predecessors. The new university specialised in Marine Engineering, Fisheries Technology and Marine Research. A number of programmes in these fields are implemented only at Pukyong National University.

Academic Programmes | Tuition and Fees
The academic year is divided into two semesters: spring (from March) and autumn (from September). Students leave for holidays in July and December.
Tuition fees at National Pukyong University range from 1,700,000 KRW to 2,241,000 KRW per semester for undergraduate programmes and from 1,905,000 KRW to 2,289,000 KRW per semester for graduate and postgraduate programmes (as of 2024). The admission fee for Master's and PhD Programmes is 178,000 KRW.

Admission Requirements
Korean language proficiency
A TOPIK Level 3 certificate or higher or a Pukyong University Language Centre certificate of not lower than Level 3. A TOPIK Level 4 certificate is required for some fields of study.
English language proficiency

Requirements: International students who are not recipients of Myongji Global Scholarship II or Myongji Global Scholarship III.
The scholarship covers tuition for two semesters.
To be eligible for the scholarship, it is necessary to attend the course for at least 6 months with at least 85% attendance and pass TOPIK Level 3 or 4. Those who passed TOPIK 4 will be reimbursed 80% of the cost of the first semester. Those who passed TOPIK 3 will be reimbursed 40%. The scholarship is paid for 1 semester.

- A TOPIK Level 5 certificate or higher - 100% of the tuition fee.
- A student who is in the top 7% of international students in terms of academic performance in the department - 80% of the tuition fee
- A student who is in the top 15% of international students in terms of academic performance in the department - 40% of the tuition fee
- A student in the top 30% of international students in terms of academic performance in the department - 30% of the tuition fee.

- Classes are held 5 days a week for 4 hours.
- The group consists of around 15 people.

The group consists of around 15 people, which ensures comfortable learning. There is a cultural programme including an introduction to Korean cultural heritage, k-pop events and many other activities.
Course fees vary depending on the type of course
Type A + B. If 2 semesters are paid for at once, the cost will be 2,400,000 KRW (as of 2024). In addition, a registration fee of 60,000 KRW is payable. The cost of textbooks will be 80,000 KRW.
Type C. If 1 semester is paid, the cost will be 1,200,000 KRW. There is no registration fee. Insurance is paid independently. Study materials cost 40,000 KRW.
An annual insurance of 110,000 KRW is compulsory for A + B courses.
Scholarships are available for students.
Scholarship to students from the top 10% with the best results.
The payment period is one semester.
Students who are in the top 5% list are reimbursed 50% of one semester's fees. Students in the top 6-10% list receive a refund of 30% of the cost of one semester.
